About us.
Founded in 2021, Noggin HQ set out to help excluded customers access the credit they need at an affordable rate. In 2026, we received permissions from the Financial Conduct Authority and are now piloting our credit score with three UK lenders.
Our credit score is different to a traditional credit score. We calculate credit scores using bank transaction data: spending history rather than credit history. Why? Because alternative data is a great way to better understand a person’s creditworthiness if they have limited credit history or historic mistakes (e.g., a CCJ).
